Can someone please find and send to me these 2 obituaries: 1- John L. BOTTS who died in Umatilla county on 18 Jan 1968 (spouse Cecil) 2- Robert Chesley BOTTS who died in Umatilla county on 30 Nov 1991(sp Helen) I think the 2 wives were sisters and born OBERT and also John and Robert BOTTS were brothers. They probably lived in the Milton-Freewater area; the girls were granddaughters of Lewis and Eliza (nee GREENE) OBERT. Lewis was a brother to my greatgrandmother Hattie OBERT HANCOCK (1860?-1949). I did not find Helen and Cecil BOTTS on the Oregon Death Index. I hope that John and Robert's obituaries will tell about their children who are double 1st cousins. No doubt other relatives are in your area. Are your cemeteries indexed, especially the IOOF at Milton-Freewater? THANKS SO MUCH. Jeanette CARLSON in Minnesota, an OBERT descendant

Martha FICKES was born 4 March 1845 in Shelby, Ohio, Richland Co., Sharon Twp., the daughter of Samuel FICKES and Catherine Ester OWEN. She married Joseph Edgar RINGER 24 November 1865 in Newton, Illinois, Jasper Co. They moved to Vernon Co., Wisconsin, then to Fremont Co., Iowa, and in 1902, they moved to Oregon. They settled in the Milton-Freewater area in Umatilla County. Martha divorced Joseph 5 May 1920 in Pendleton, Oregon, and married John PRICKETT in Walla Walla, Washington 11 January 1921. Shortly after the marriage, she left John. He was a partner in a furniture store called Prickett and Propeck. I cannot find evidence that Martha divorced John. Martha died 5 January 1929 in Pendleton, Oregon, and is buried in the Milton IOOF cemetery in Milton-Freewater, Umatilla Co. I have a copy of the newspaper notice of estate sale. I need a copy of Martha (RINGER) PRICKETT's obituary. Thank you.
