MCCOLLOUGH, OWENS posted by Gary Siroshton on Friday, April 27, 2001

Looking for info on family (mother, father, siblings) of William Price OWENS (g-grandfather), b. 26 Apr 1862, near St Louis, Missouri. All I have to go on is an obit where it states that he and his family, when he was three years old, came by ox team from Missouri to Malheur County, Oregon and from there they moved on to Umatilla County, Oregon. The obit doesn't state how many months (years) it took to get to Oregon, but it does lead me to believe that most of his growing up was done in Umatilla county, Oregon. He actually got married in Echo, Oregon on December 18, 1884 to Martha Louisa MCCOLLOUGH, so in between this time frame, from appx 1866-1884, would be the closest I can come to where to start for a census search. Actually, if I could also find a census for after they were married, 18 December 1884, this would also be very helpful, as I am still missing names and dates for two of their daughters. They all moved on to Okanogan County, Washington in 1892. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
