SHEEK posted by Irene Wright on Wednesday, February 13, 2002: Searching for family of a Joshua Wilson SHEEK who died in Pendleton Umatilla Co., Or and is buried in Olney cemetery. He was born May 11, 1815 in Rowan County, North Carolina and died June of 1898. He married Lucinda Groce in Yadkin County, North Carolina, June 23, 1833. They had the following children: Sarah K., James Benjamin, Martha, Christian Riley, Malinda D., Mary Ann, Susan C., Jessee Lee and Lloyd O. SHEEK. Lloyd O. lived in Pendleton and assume Joshua lived with him as his wife died in July of 1885 and is buried in Linn County, Kansas as is several of their children. Hope there is someone out there who can give me some help on this family. Thanks.

Fred JOHNS appears in 1900 census for Pendleton, Oregon; living on Court Street; b. Nov 1867, gave his place of birth as Kentucky (doubt accuracy); occupation: vaquero; divorced; had been married 6 years; father from Wales, mother from New York. Fred was noted in his father's obituary in Mar 1911 as still living in Pendleton OR. PRICE & Roy PRICE married sisters, Amelia Stacy WALL & Harriet Annette WALL. I know Roy & Harriet had Emma who m. Paul SUMNER. Does anyone know who other children of these couples are? I descend from another sister, Ruth WALL who married Lewis GEISS, then Roy J. BAKER.
