Haines Cemetery, Early Days
Belva recently sent us the picture below of the Early Days of the Haines Cemetery. This was taken in 1937 before the Cemetery Association was formed. For those of you who have never been to the area, it was just a barren hill top with no trees or grass. I can't say I was ever there as a child, but I do remember when grandfather passed, dad said he would not be buried there. As Belva said it was pretty bad and she worried she might be buried there, now she has a plot. The years and a good Cemetery Association has changed the description.
